ABOUT
Othering is defined as the identification of another being as opposite to oneself. Treating a group that has a different religion, culture, race etc. as inferior to you and the group you belong to. The person that is regarded as the other is alienated from society and placed in the margins.
This blog introduces people to literature and views that are marginalised, I attempt to bring those othered to the forefront. The blog is called the other because it is a space containing reviews, poetry and prose influenced by being an 'Other'.
I am a recent graduate in English Literature, and I created this blog to share my passions and thoughts. Hope you enjoy perusing through my blog and please do not hesitate to express your opinions. This is a place where all views are brought to the centre.
